YANUI BEACH
|
The scenery is beautiful; located in a cove, sailboats in the bay, crystal clear water, the small island of Koh Keyao Noi 400-500 meters out, a grass covered hill with a dozen sugar palm trees.
Yanui was a few years back a quiet beach not well known to many tourists. That has changed, never seen so many people her before. Yanui is now officially on the map.
Good snorkeling along the rock formation at the center of the beach where Thai men like to go fishing. Lots of fish in all sizes and colors swim around in the crystal clear sea.
The small island of Koh Keyao Noi is so close that you can swim out to it (400-500 meters), or do like many others and rent a kayak, 100-200 baht/hour, for a closer look of the island.
Good swimming condition at the main part of the beach even if there are some rocks too. The southern end is not so good for swimming with its mostly rocky bottom.
Yanui is a family beach where the children play in the sand and snorkel in the warm clear sea. No jet skies, no parasailing, no noisy longtail boats disturb you while you relax in the tropical sun.
If hungry there is a small open air restaurant on the beach and another restaurant at Yanui Bungalow on the other side of the road.
