Fishing Boat in Phang Nga Bay

See Phang Nga Bay's mystical landscape with its strange looking islands, where one of the biggest attraction is James bond Island.
Made famous by the movie "The Man With the Golden Gun".

But also by some regarded as a tourist trap, when on a good day, thousands of tourists arrive on the small island and its tiny beach - filled with souvenir stalls.

Sure, it can get crowded, but the nail shaped rock is a amazing sight and is not to be missed.

James Bond Island

Phang Nga Bay is known for its jungle covered limestone mountains rising up out of the sea in all sorts of weird shapes - some with hidden lagoons and a mangrove forest delta with twisting channels.

A typical tour:
First stop is at Monkey Cave, about one hour drive from Phuket. Around the cave live monkeys that are being fed by tourists. Inside the cave is an 15 meter long reclining Buddha statue.

After the cave you head for the pier in Phang Nga Bay where a longtail boat take you through the channels of the mangrove forest to Tam Lod Grotto, a pass trough cave with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites.

Then cruising trough a stunning scenery with mountains of limestone rising almost vertically up from the calm bay, passing a Muslim Sea Village on the way to James Bond Island.

At James Bond Island it's time to take pictures in front of the famous nail rock in the small bay.
Afterwards, back to Ko Panyi (Muslim Sea Village) for lunch and exploring the floating village that is built on stilts in the sea.

After lunch back to pier and Phuket.
