I have only been to Similan Islands one time on a day trip (2006). Never seen so perfect clear sea in my life.
But then I have never been to the Caribbean where 40 meter visibility was normal.
At Similan Islands pristine paradise beaches with no parasols in sight await you.
Perfect white powder sand and no more than 30-60 tourists at the most. At least on our trip.
Water was so clear that even my Thai girlfriend wanted to stay in the sea forever.
Similan Islands was truly a paradise for a few hours before again going back to the city for a night of partying.
From what I have read Similan Islands have the best diving in Thailand.
