To get here you could either take a longtail boat from Kata Noi or drive to Kata Viewpoint. Then follow the road further south 300 meters where you take the dirt road on the right side and follow it one kilometer or so. From here the road get very steep the remainder of the way down to the beach(1,2 km).
Now its time to park your motorbike/car and walk the rest of the way down the steep windy dirt road that after heavy rain always is in a very bad condition.

Janury 2009: Had not the time to check out the condition of the road. And I don't know if one still can call for a 4x4 car to come up from the beach to drive you down the steep dirt road.

Nui Beach is one of the most expensive beaches to visit in Phuket. An entrance fee of 250 Baht per adult person and 125 Baht for a child is mandatory for all guests. For that you get a drink and a sunbed. And a longtail boat from Kata Noi will set you back 1,500 baht.

Nui beach is actually two small beaches divided by a large rock formation. On last visit only one beach had sunbeds, the other was empty except for a few goats!

Nui is a secluded beach far away from the crowds at Patong. There where no more than 20 people on the whole beach and that was just before peak season!
No one here try to sell you overpriced stuff every minute. No jet skies, speedboats or longtail boats to worry about when going for a swim.

The beach sand at Nui is not so soft as one might expect to find at a beach in Phuket. But who cares when you are in paradise!

There are a few tables at the back of the beach where they serve food. Or ask to have the food delivered to your sunbed.

There are plenty of corals out in the bay along the hill on the right side when facing the sea that make for good snorkeling.

Nui is a uniqe beach paradise located in an undeveloped area, you will not find another beach in Phuket that resembles Nui.

Would be one of my favorites beaches if it was not so expensive and difficult to reach. But then it would probably be packed with people.
