Mai Khao Beach
on the northwest coast is a 11 km long stretch of sand where giant leatherback turtles comes to lay their eggs.

As Mai Khao has some of the last large plots of undeveloped beach front on the west coast, there has been a rush to build new luxurious resorts, villas and apartments lately.
Since I have not been to Mai Khao in several years, a more lengthy description of the beach has to wait until I can go and see for myself.
