A favorite beach for many people in Phuket, with a long stretch of squeaking golden sand and perfect crystal clear water.

Karon is a popular tourist beach 6 kilometers south of Patong, stretching more than 3 km with soft golden sand that squeaks when walked on, like cold snow. Along the beach road are sand dunes that separates the beach from the road.
Karon Beach is one of the best tourist beaches in Phuket with only two rows of sunbeds and crystal clear sea, perfect for swimming.
I can recommend Karon Beach to everyone that like swimming in clear water and a beach that is not too crowded. Karon can have waves and if this is a problem, then head south to Kata Beach where the sea is calm.
Near the south end of the beach is the famous Dino Park Mini-Golf located and the south end is also a perfect spot for children snorkeling at high tide when lots of fish swim close to the beach in crystal clear water.
Karon Beach have several water activities like jet skies, parasailing, banana boat...
Some people complain that Karon Beach can be too quiet and prefer Kata Beach where there are more action!
