PATONG: Governor CEO Pongpayome Vasaputi has closed a bar in Patong’s Soi Bangla indefinitely over an allegedly indecent public performance.
Police raided The Hi bar at 21/5-6 Soi Sea Dragon at 11:30 pm on May 3 and arrested Suparp Boonmark, who was naked and performing “a shameful act in public by indecently exposing her person”. Balloons and darts were believed to be involved.

Back in Norway where I was welcomed by a custom officer that had the weird idea that I had something to hide. Is this the way Norway welcome me back? Was lucky that the bus didn't leave without me.
Can't wait to go back to Thailand. Only reason to stay in Norway is to work and save money for the next trip to the Land Of Smiles. And did I mention that there are still snow around the airport, way too early to be back.

At last in Bangkok where after a long 17 hours tour from Patong we could check in at the hotel.
A WARNING: Never take taxi on a Monday morning in Bangkok, A NIGHTMARE!!!
Grand EGV Gold Class Cinema at Siam Discovery Center has been upgraded with new very luxurious electric reclining leather chairs that give you a range of reclining positions. Cost of a ticket has also been upgraded from 300 to 500 baht. If you prefer a massage chair it only cost another 100 baht.
It's expensive but I can promise you that its wort every baht. And what a sound!!! Have never heard anything better before and don't forget you also get a VIP treatment where the staff go down on knee for you. Can you think of another cinema where that happen?
It's called the most comfortable, grandiose and up-to-date movie theater in Thailand.
Last note: Before a movie starts the national anthem is played and you must stand up and pay your respect to His Majesty the King.

Going to Bangkok in two days before taking the plane back home. Didn't get ticket to VIP 24 bus, had to be satisfied with VIP 32 that have smaller seats but that should not be a too big problem since the trip only take 10,5 - 12 hours.

Under Songkran there was many more tourists than the week before and many still stay here. That translate to more action in bars and discos.
16.April.2003
Miss Phuket Bike contest in Bangla Road was abrupt with heavy rain last evening that lasted maybe 20 minutes.
No one died in road accidents on Phuket Island under Songkran so far. But who knows how many people will die the next days after being seriously hurt! A friend had a accident, hope she is okay.

Today Soi Bangla is closed for celebration of Phuket Bike Week with a stage in front of Rock Hard.
After three days with water splashing it's all over for this time. Songkran don't end before 15.April, but the real fun is over. Before I think water splashing only lastet one day in Patong, but not this year.
If you haven't celebrated Thai New Year before I can promise you it's lots of fun with water splashing on everyone that dare to walk or drive on the streets. It's very hot at this time of year so nothing is better than to have ice cold water thrown on you so long it don't hit your face while driving.
For more info on Songkran check out Stickman Weekly 53.

Has been on my obligatorily trip to Raya Island. Water was great, but not so clear that it can be on it's best. Not that I complain.
Last two years the tour company has stopped going to my favorite place for snorkeling, but I don't think most tourists care since they swim close to the boat anyway and are happy when they see fish.
There are some construction going on with several septic tanks laying on the ground. Maybe Raya is so popular that it's time to build more huts? After looking at two years old pictures there are no doubt many more boats in the bay now.

Celebration of Songkran has already started in Bangla Road with water guns and powder. GREAT!!!

Star Wars has the best sound I have heard in a disco and playing great dance music. Many Thai girls there last night, but not so many people as the opening night. Will have a longer report from Star Wars when I am back from Phi Phi in a few days.
6.April.2003
Star Wars did open last night, lots of people.
The report in Bangkok Post a few days ago about people coming from Singapore must stay home two weeks was not true. A friend come back from Singapore today. She had no problems, but people that look sick are taken to the hospital.
5.April.2003
Staff at Star Wars was seen carrying water and beer inside the building today. And more and more people say that Star Wars will open tonight. If it's true we go their tonight.
It's confirmed that Star Wars will open tonight. Can't wait to go there.
The new bridge near Amari Coral Beach Resort is almost finished. The old bridge was full of holes, so it was time that they build a new.
4.April.2003
A rumor say that Star Wars will open tomorrow Saturday. I don't know if it's true, but I will check it out.

Why want people swim in brown water at the south end of Patong Beach when they can swim in clear water at the north end?
Maybe people are too lazy to walk 15 minutes from Holiday Inn to the beach.
Following sentences has been censored by my girlfriend.
Overheard in a police station near you: A farang used a language that in my home country would justify a fine around 20,000 baht, but the police man only smiled.
That's the good thing about Thailand, police smile here!!!
