I am shamed over being from Norway. Pink Panter A Go-Go is closed for one month after two Norwegian tourists complaint about lewd shows at the bar.
Shame on you!! Going to police is not good. If you don't like the show go somewhere else.

Nicke at www.phuket-info.com have great news!! From December 1 bars in Patong are allowed to stay open until 04 or 05 in the morning.
Is this great news or what?!
At last the nightmare is over. We, the young in heart can again party all night. Long after the old fat men have gone back to the hotel with their girlfriends to take Viagra.

Another place worth a visit is Grand Palace. But I doubt they will let me in without wearing jeans. So long that is not a option in the middle of the day, it must wait until the next cold wave.

Not many days left now before I arrive in Bangkok where a visit to Grand EGV Cinema at Siam Discovery Center is in order.
One of the few reasons to visit Bangkok before going down to Phuket.

Thai-boom amid Norwegian men. Norwegian career-females getting blame.
The Asia-researcher Stephen Boot blame Norwegian career women for that more Norwegian men finds a Thai wife.
Last four years the numbers of marriage between Norwegian men and Thai female has trebled. One of the causes is that Norwegian female has been more career conscious than prior. A few men substitute his Norwegian wife for a young Thai woman, who is accustomed to a traditionally gender role model, say Boot.

Smoking ban in most public places from November 8 including restaurants and night clubs.
It's only a matter of time before it will be forbidden to smoke on the streets too. Like in some downtown areas of Tokyo.

Denmark, Sweden and Norway warned today that it had received information on possible terror attacks in Thailand, naming specifically Patong, in the west of Phuket, as a potential target.
Hopefully only false alarm. Anyway it will not stop me from coming to Phuket in December.

Restaurants, as well as pubs and nightclubs, must stop selling alcohol after 2 am or face losing their licenses for good, Governor CEO Pongpayome Vasaputi warned today.
“If any restaurants disobey, I will stop them selling alcohol permanently,” he told a monthly meeting of about 100 senior provincial officers at Phuket Provincial Meeting Hall.
Patong is now official dead after 02 am. Do anyone know where to go for nachspiel?
Where are the men?
Girls in Patong complain about few tourists at the moment. Difficult to find
a man to sleep with. So many Thai girls, so few men. Very boring!!!
No navy, no men, jump on the next plane for a dream holiday.

I am so sick of this new social order, it's time to go home, earn money and be allowed to stay up late. It will be good to go home while I wait and see what will happen next in Thailand. Thailand is not the only country in the world with beautiful nature.
Will miss out on Songkran but Phuket have never been the best place to have fun with water anyway, and this year it looks like there will be restrictions both in Phuket, Bangkok and Pattaya.

Had lots of fun at Soi Easy recently, almost no customers at midnight when Soi Katoey was as always packed. But don't let that stop you, with so many bar girls and no customers you can Easy have fun.
But and it's a big BUT, don't expect to see many young sexy girls, I didn't anyway.
The good things about not so perfect girls are that they seems to have more fun, like dancing on the bar disk just like in the good old days. Next time I will join them, have almost forgotten how to dance on the bar disk, long time since I had the opportunity.

Tick-Tock Tick-Tock Tick-Tock...
I hate that sound, it remind me that party in Patong is a race against closing time, there are no time to relax.
BANG! I feel like I have been hit by a hammer, the lights being turned off, just when I begin to have fun. I look at the watch and see what I have learned to hate: 02.00 AM.
But there are places where you can go after closing time to drink with Thai girls, I will write more about that later.
Have Shark Club staff given up? I don't see them protesting anymore. I don't hope so, but Shark Club will forever live on in my heart.
Tiger Pub is very hot at the moment, it remind me about Shark Club. Tiger
is packed with sexy Thai girls looking for a man, just like Shark Club in
the good old days.
The DJ was pumping out music that got the whole room dancing between the chairs.
You feel alive staying at Tiger, but I don't like that when my Thai girl go
alone she pay 100 baht for a drink, going with me she has to pay 150 baht
for the same drink.

If you are planning a longer stay in Patong I don't think it's a good idea
to trust Immigration Office. Tourists that trusted them are now in trouble
after the seizure of their passport, but if Phuket Immigration Police known
about it for a long time why didn't they do anything about it, instead letting
innocent tourists getting in trouble who's only crime was to trust a Official
Thai Immigration Office.

Soi Gonzo is dead with almost no action, last year my favorite bar had lots of girls showing everything and very hot dancing. Now it's more like visiting a church and hope you don't go to sleep.
Soi Eric have much more action, it's not destroyed yet, so long it last.

while playing with water -Soon we will celebrate Songkran, the Thai New Year lasting from April 13 to April 15. In Phuket it only last one day to protect tourists from getting wet. That's why I prefer to celebrate in Bangkok where it last 3 days.

The Nation: Thai people under 20 years are not allowed to "sing a song" in shopping malls, say our beloved interior minister.
Thais love to "sing a song" and if they can't anymore I will not be surprised if they found other ways to have fun!

Shark Club didn't open last night as expected.
As Rock Hard reported on their website, Sphinx A Go-Go has closed down. Who will be next?
Some go-go bars must be desperate: As I walked past one the mamasan dragged me inside the bar. I didn't complain, after all I wanted to relax a few minutes and most go-go bars is cheaper than Soi Katoey but I didn't expect that the girls would put on a show.
At first the girls had more cloths on then most farang girls have on the beach but soon mamasan ordered the girls to show some skin.
Ooh my God I didn't expected this and surely not to get free service, thank God I had enough power to stop her.
This was not good for my heart and I only stayed ten minutes but when I was leaving a police man was talking to the staff, it didn't look good, had he seen too much?

In soi Katoey drinks have gone up from 100 to 120 baht. What have happened?
Paying 120 baht in a beer bar is crazy.
I know this is the most popular soi but paying the same as Flash A Go-Go? Never!
Sometimes I like to go there for relaxing but I don't pay 120 baht in a soi where nothing is happening, 120 baht in Flash A go-go is okay since they have some action.
The Nation: The Appeals Court yesterday resumed proceedings in the "The Beach" trial in which the Krabi Provincial Administration Organisation (PAO) and associates filed a suit against the previous government and 20th Century Fox for damaging the ecosystem of Maya Beach on Phi Phi Island.
"This is because the Appeals Court believed that the filming of 'The Beach' had a negative impact on the ecosystem of the beach," said plaintiff lawyer Warin Thiemcharas.
Lonley Planet: Improper anchoring and the dumping of trash had toppled this beach from any "pristine" status it may once have enjoyed years before Fox arrived on the scene.
During the crew's first week on Phi Phi Leh, the film crew removed an estimated three to four tons of rubbish. Bangkok protestors offered no hard evidence to support their claims of devastation. Experts who visited the bay both before and after filming agreed: Ao Maya looked better than ever.
Nonetheless we can expect the April Thai opening (it opens in the US in February) of the film to rekindle anti-Fox activism, perhaps accompanied by a movement to boycott the film.
Of course making of the movie had a negative impact on the beach, removing tons of rubbish can never be good and planting coconut trees just for the movie, what did they think.
After seeing the movie I expected too see lots of coconut trees but I was so disappointed. Where was the coconut trees that I had heard so much about, why did they restore the beach back to it's former glory?
But lucky for us we only have to go to Phi Phi Don to see lots of garbage on the beach. Please don't remove the garbage, we don't want to destroy the ecosystem on Phi Phi.
And I will not complain if they can remove all the rubbish I see on one street in Patong.
I can do it myself but I don't want to be accused of stealing jobs from Thais.

There are a chance that Shark Club will open tomorrow if they get everything ready.
But after reading Phuket Gazette I am not so sure if they can open.
Chief of the Phuket Provincial Governor’s office Lertkiat Vongpuaphan told Phuket Gazette: "It seems the staff are preparing to reopen, but they can’t because they do not have a license."
Going to a Go-Go bar alone when I have a girl friend waiting for me in the apartment is not a good idea. So many sexy girls that will go with me if I am willing to pay. Next time we will go together so I can relax with a drink without the girls hitting on me.
Yes, the biggest problem with staying in Patong is that there are too many sexy Thai girls.

Tiger is strange, it's one of the most popular places in Patong but they don't have a dance floor! We have to dance between the chairs and pretending we are in a disco.
What a fantastic day on Patong Beach with very clear water, it reminded me about Raya Island. This is what Patong is all about, have fun all night, sleep a few hours then go to the beach and I say it one more time: Water was sooooooooooooooooooo good today.

warning. Like when I only wanted to ask one girl a question, it was not my
fault that she with her hand tried to convise me to go with here.
I see that people are still asking about closing time. Nothing have changed, everybody close 02.00 and the action start around midnight except for the most popular places where it start 23.00.

Word on the street is that Shark Club will open in a few days. The banners protesting the closure of Shark Club are gone.
It looks like others too have discovered Safari, it was packed last night. Safari is our first choice after we have stopped going to Tai Pan, but please move Safari to Soi Bangla.
Today was the warmest day of the year (38C/100F) and we are only in the beginning of March. Warmest period of the year is still one month away, so where will this end?
Every week less and less tourists on the beach and it will continue like this until October when it will go the other way reaching the peek at New Year.

What has happened to Tai Pan? The staff are very pushy, asking for us to buy a drink all the time. If we want to dance 10 minutes before we buy a drink then it's up to us. Last year I bought drinks for at least 100.000 baht, that is more then most Thais earn in a year.
My girlfriend had told me that Tai Pan has changed but I didn't believe her. Now I understand how much Tai Pan has changed.

If I can't have fun in the night there is always the beach with almost naked girls, warm crystal clear water and nothing beat sleeping on the beach and feel the warmth of the tropical sun's rays touching my skin, while the sea are caressing my feet. Yes, I am living in paradise.

Nation Multimedia Group has suspended political coverage and commentary programmes on its 24-hour cable news channel on UBC8, citing unfavourable political climate.
Phuket Gazette: Governor CEO Pongpayome Vasaputi declared his support for freedom of expression in the press. Reporters are not obligated to write only good things about government, he said, noting that criticisms were both “normal” and expected.
I don't belive my eyes, he say it's okay to criticize the government.
US Navy is back in town with a small ship, I am sure the girls are in heaven tonight.
Patong are very quiet in the day, people are either on a Island trip, drinking in the bar or staying on the beach.
Bangla Road don't wake up before after sunset and it still close 02.00 AM.
Last year beer bars in Soi Gonzo was open to 05.00 AM and had lots of action but now the soi are almost empty after 01.00 AM because people that like to party go to Banana or Tai Pan before they close.
Soi Katoey are packed every night because it's the most famous soi and music are so low that people can talk together. Talking together = no party, it's not strange that families think Soi Katoeys are good for their children.
