Diary Patong

8.January.2005

Patong Beach like it was 20 years ago. No sunbeds or umbrellas in sight, except for one or two. Patong is now a pristine beach where the few that has not gone home can relax in the tropical sun. And the air smell fresher for every day. It's not necessary to use face mask any more.

Beach vendors are again strolling up and down the beach looking for customers. Selling ice cream, water, beer, coke and food to a high price.

Water is very good for swimming now. Never seen so clear water on this part of the beach before. The sea bottom is clearly visible at 4 meters deep.

Stairs leading up to Patong Immigration Office at the Beach Road. To the right is/was Patong Beach Bungalows.

This is what Patong Beach Bungalows looks like now.
